Description

By taking a virtual tour of an Illinois workplace and speaking to the employees there, participants will refine their understanding of sexual harassment in a restaurant or bar environment. This experience offers both English and Spanish language options, and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

This course meets certain requirements of the Illinois Workplace Transparency Act by providing supplemental anti-harassment training to restaurant and bar employees, containing additional examples tailored to that industry. It is meant to follow the Illinois Sexual Harassment Awareness Training for Supervisors and Employees offered by Compliance Training Group.

Licensing and Terms of Use:

  • Our e-Learning training courses are designed for single-learner use only. Each purchased enrollment may be used for a single individual. Upon completion, the user will be provided with a certificate of completion reflecting their name and date.
  • Users are provided with 30 days from their user login activation date to complete their training. An extension period of one week can be requested at no additional charge (please contact Support).
  • Buyers are granted access to their e-learning course(s) upon purchase. Therefore, e-learning courses purchased through our store are nonrefundable.

Objectives

Participants will become compliant with additional training requirements of Illinois SB75 for restaurant and bar employees, having undergone an annual sexual harassment prevention training that includes the following elements:

  • Specific conduct, activities, or videos related to the restaurant or bar industry
  • An explanation of manager responsibility under the law
  • English and Spanish language options

Learners Will

  • Evaluate the behavior of employees working in a kitchen environment, and correctly decide whether their actions could be considered quid pro quo style sexual harassment.
  • Evaluate the behavior of guests in a bar environment, and correctly decide whether their actions are those of a third-party harasser.
  • Evaluate the behavior of employees working in a Dish Room environment, and correctly decide whether their actions could be considered Hostile workplace sexual harassment.
  • Evaluate the behavior of employees working in a Dining Room environment, and correctly decide whether their actions could be considered illegal retaliation.
  • Correctly determine if an employee may have “manager” responsibilities based on their duties and job function rather than their job title.
  • Given an example staged in a bar or restaurant working environment, correctly determine whether a manager knew or should have known about harassment that took place.
  • Given an example staged in a bar or restaurant working environment, correctly determine whether a manager took appropriate and immediate corrective action.
